    Thanks Skippy. It all started after this tutorial:

    From there, I googled "Smudge painting" and came up with a lot of resources. I also downloaded "Linda's hairbrushes" and "Sarsa's brushes". After that, it's all trial and error. Work on the image at 200-300%. That way, you can see exactly what you are doing.
