Problem with Filmstrip and Internet Explorer?

I've only just noticed this when testing IE8 beta,not sure how long it's been there!

When I view galleries in filmstrip on IE, I can scroll to the right for a couple of photos then it freezes (this happens if I scroll manually, or if the filmstrip is moving). I can't scroll to the left at all.

In Firefox it works fine, and I've tried it with different users' galleries so I don't *think* it's my site.

Tested on: IE8 Beta (both default and "Emulate IE7" mode), Windows XP, and
IE7, Windows Vista

The Javascript error message in all circumstances is "'console' is undefined".

Anyone else getting this or is it just me? :cry

Example galleries:

http://www.paulbrockphotography.co.uk/gallery/3540435

plus a friend's I used for testing, which I think is uncustomized:

Thanks!

    Hi :)

    We are looking into this. Appears to be an IE thing only. Sorry for the inconvenience. We'll get it fixed as soon as we can!

    Hi,

    I'm not able to replicate this. Filmstrip works fine for me. Clicking on an image changes it.

    Can you try to clear your temporary cache files in your browser and see if that might resolve this for you? Let us know.

    Hi :)

    If clearing the cache does not fix this for you, will you please give us a link to a gallery where you are having the problem? We'll take a look!

    Ah ha - we just found a problem if you have right-click protection turned on in a gallery and are using filmstrip. Cannot click images. Do you have protection turned on? If so, this will get fixed soon :)

    Looks good to me Barb (even with right click protection), thanks for the speedy response!

    It's fine on IE7, though IE8 Beta is still having difficulties - I don't expect it to be supported as yet, though you guys may want to take a look at some point....

    IE8 beta issues with Smugmug:
    Filmstrip still is having difficulties, even with the new fix
    I've also just seen that the 'Customize Gallery' page doesn't display the 'save' button, or any other buttons as far as I can tell.
    Page number dropdown on the gallery pages doesn't appear or work.

    I'm happy to help identify any other issues with IE8 :-)

    Is there some code that will hide the page navigation and what size people can view the images at?

    I just dont think there's a need for them to see a number displaying how many images there are in the film strip. PLus, I just want it to look as clean as possible.

    Add this to your CSS.

    #filmstrip #sizePicker,
    #filmstrip .photoNav {
    display: none;
    }

    Works like a charm! Thanks.
