Suspected doctype and Blurb badge conflict

I've seen Blurb book badges on other folks' Smugsites so I'm sure there's a simple fix for this. My problem is that the cover thumbnail for my Blurb badge does not appear when I paste the code in my caption:

Blurb notes when they hand you the code that there may be display problems unless the page on which the badge should appear has the following doctype:


"http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">

Since SmugMug's doctype declaration is strict, I'm wondering if this is the problem and if so, what the work-around might be.

Mea Culpa if this has been asked and answered elsewhere. My search of the forum turned up no specific answer. Thanks!

    Fixed.

    Needs <html> at the begining and </html> at the end.
