self portrait

finally shot myself......wife thinks this belongs in a horror gallery....

this was done with an sb600 (m 1/8) through an Ezybox hotshoe
ISO 1000 (just forgot to turn it down from the prev night rather than on purpose)
50 mm f1.8 at f14 1/250 s
PP on Capture Nx2 then Lightroom

    I like it, I'm a one light portrait fan.
    I was gonna say I wish the BG wasn't there but I think it woulda been OK if not for the seam or wrinkle that we are seeing the vertical line. If it were just the pattern it probably would have worked.

    f14 can be brutally sharp.

    I think it is a wonderful photograph. Love the reality of it, the angle and the mood enhanced by the lighting. That it is also a self portrait makes it even better.

    i love the compositon and lighting. For my taste, a little over sharp.

    Some day I will try to have the nerve to do a self portrait. I hope it turns out as great as this one, good jobclap.gif

    thank you all for taking the time to look and comment.

    Kombiz - I'm always open to suggestions, but just saying I need BETTER lighting doesn't really tell me anything, would you care to elaborate?
