Sigma 80-400 Loose on D80
This weekend I was shooting with my sigma 80-400 and got the dreaded DBS syndrome with my D80. It happened when I first got the lens about a year ago and I sent it back to Sigma and it was returned with no problems found. This weekend I noticed that there is some play in the mount (camera or lens I'm not sure, although all my other lenses do not seem to exhibit it) The play is very little but could be enough to cause intermittent contact. The usual on/off trick brings the lens and camera back. Would love some suggestions as to the best course of action since I don't want to be without the D80 along with the lens. Wondering if Sigma would replace the mount.....the lens is heavy so I am wondering if it just too much for the D80. Any comments or suggestions would be helpful.
