Hi you'll,

I've never been into fishing but I keep hearing that its consdered to be a sport. Here's a few pics of some of our locals in "action".

its a "sport" that the whole family can do

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

    Oh my
There are some good things about living up north in winter!

Our fishermen out here need a lot more clothes than that all year round!

    Hey Dee,

Its just our relaxed Florida lifestyle. Clothing is optional. :D

ROFL DEE. Great shots as usual Harry. But I did notice something. It looks alot like when I was down there. No one is catching anything at all. I thought the red tide was only on the other side of the state where I was at.ne_nau.gif You need to send EZ Catch a bill for the advertisingclap.gif.

Fishing isn't a sport ne_nau.gif It's just an excuse to drink beer and shoot the breeze. Sort of like an outdoor version of bowling :lol :lol

    J/K Harry :D

Very nice shots thumb.gifthumb.gif Isn't that last one a shot of the rare Humungous Pot-Bellied Ruddy Heron (more familiarly known as the HPBRH.....lol)? rolleyes1.gif

Harry, my first reactions as I look at your shots:

    #1 - " locals in "action"
You have to love a sport where talking on one's cell phone can be integrated right into the sport's "action".

    #4 - " taking a break"
The guy in the back isn't taking a break. He's planning his "strategery" . . . think like the fish, be the fish.

    #5 "well equipped"
The guys thinking, "Crap, sooner or later I've got to squeeze my portly self back into that little kayak."

Serious reaction to your shots: You have a way of making even the mundane fishing (non BIF & BB) shots look like artwork! I always view your posts.

    Awesome fun thumb.gif

I knew, of course, that trees and plants had roots, stems, bark, branches and foliage that reached up toward the light. But I was coming to realize that the real magician was light itself.

Good pictures, but the subjects captured do a disservice to a noble sport. Here is my kind of fishing:

No bare beer bellies out there.

    Hey Gary,

You'll note that the one guy in the EZ Catch boat actually has a fish in hand so at least someone caught a fish.

    Thanks for stopping by.

You would think that actively taking part in a "sport" on a regular basis would keep you in shape.

It appears that thought is incorrect, and with this sport the opposite may be true.

    Interesting, and very nice 'captures'....
Funny, up here guys with bellies like those are usually carrying cameras and tripodsrolleyes1.gif

It's the guys with the fishing rods that get a kick out of them thumb.gif

Advid photog and 'sport' (read: LARGEMOUTH) fisherman.....

Thanks John. I think this may be the sport for both of us. When i played softball the manager kept yelling at me for taking my Corona out to 3rd base with me. I don't see that as being problem here. rolleyes1.gif
