Having trouble with my domain pointing smugmug

I am brand new to SmugMug and have a registered domain with GoDaddy.com which I want to use on my power user site with SM.
However each time I try to get it to link up I get and error message that reads: "Warning: That hostname doesn't resolve to SmugMug. This may cause problems with your Custom Hostname setting."

I believe I have followed all of the instructions properly but for some reason it won't migrate over.

Can anyone assist?

    Jeff,

    There are several reasons why this could occur. The biggest is that the domain is if the domain is forwarded instead of using the CNAME and A record method.

    Be sure to send me your Domain name and the SmugMug nickname. Once I get that, I may need your GoDaddy customer number, and password. But do not send that until I ask for it.
