Black-necked Stilts - Viera Wetlands

I got these at the Viera Wetlands in Brevard County, Fl. In summer the number of birds is well below the winter numbers, but this is still such a great place to visit. I was able to go two mornings this week. In addition to the stilts, I got photos of purple gallinules, a white morp, deer and ottters. I even got to say hello to our forum mod, Harry.

These were taken with my Canon 30D and 100-400mm lens. Your comments and suggestions for improvement are very much appreciated.

I have never seen these birds (at least not that I remember) other than in these forums. They are the coolest looking critters. The image with mom and chicks is great as is the one of the two chicks together. They seem a little flat. Maybe some work on curves and USM would improve them.
