Bees seem to be getting smaller at the moment. Andrena bicolour #3, lasioglossum #1,2,5 and halictus sp #4. I think. The Halictus bee was about 6mm body length

Beautiful series Brian, I love the #4 little fella
Winter is well and truly here now, the winds are terrible.
I'm just glad we're getting rain, because we really need it.
I hope my bulbs don't die from the weird weather we have been having.
They actually came up several inches when they shouldn't have.
Spring is a long way off, but the plants look half way headed towards flowering so I hope the cold weather doesn't kill them off.

Hi I shoot RAW so I do use USM in PS to sharpen the images a bit. The main thing though is I shoot at fairly open apertures to avoid diffraction softening of the images in the first place.
