Now that the grandkids are gone
Hi Y'all,
Sorry for the absence but my son, dtr-in-law and four grandchildren descended on my home and I haven't had much time lately. I've been rather busy playing ganddad. My 4 year old grandson wanted to know if I had seen any dinsosaurs while I was growing up.
Anyhow here's a few pics from my last visit to St. Augustine.
tri-color chick
snowy egret
wood stork & chick
a snwoy aprent and its loving offspring
cattle egret
not a great pic but it demonstrates the very how hard it is to get close to your subjects at St. Augustine. :ivar
and my visitng wildlife

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Grandkids!...Gotta love'em! I bet if he saw the pics of these baby tri-colored herons blown up large, he might think you shot dinosaurs! Nice set Harry.

Looking at your fantastic pictures, I wonder what the chicks ask their parents besides "When is my next meal?"

Thanks but i'm afraid that a blown up image of that tri-color might be too scay for a 4 year old. :yikes
My favorite line from my grandkids came from my eldest granddaughter. She once told me "You know grandpa when I have kids you'll be dead". :lol4

Thanks Joel, for some strange reason I love to capture woodstork images.
It was a snap to get the grandkids to pose. The main reason they like to visit Linda and me is because we have a pool. I just told them to pose or I would fill the pool with cement and turn it into a shuffleboard court.

Thanks much and from what I've observed the chicks' only question has been "Where;s the grub?"
