Gallery and image statistics

I have a basic home page and I'm using the default "Galleries" specification for organizing my images (ie, I have not yet created any unique categories or sub-categories).

I have created galleries in 7 different default categories (Music, Professional, Family, Travel, etc.). On my home page each gallery category has information indicating how many galleries there are in that category and how many images are contained in all of the associated galleries.

PROBLEM: Everything looks okay EXCEPT..... the Music category indicates that there are 77 galleries when, in fact, there are only 40. The total number of images seems to be about right. For the other categories, the stat for the number of galleries is close, but often wrong. Any ideas what might be causing this to happen? How reliable is the number of images?

Hi Bob,

Speaking generally, usually this is a cache issue. If you log out of your account and clear your browser cache and then log back in, you should see the gallery count as normal.

If you still see a wrong gallery count, please let us know and we'll delve into it further.

I logged out and restarted my computer. The same (incorrect) statistic is being report for the one category (Music). Interestingly, every gallery within this category is also a member of a Sharegroup. Could this affect the calculation of the number of galleries within the category?

I re-checked the calculation of the number of galleries in the other categories and they do seem to be quite accurate now.

Yes, I believe there may be an issue with sharegroups and the gallery count. Please email us at the helpdesk so that we can take a look and also get the issue logged to our engineers. Thanks.
