Password protected gallery workaround for search?

I made the mistaken assumption that I could create a password protected gallery, that would be searchable.

However, apparently if a gallery is password protected the search function is disabled. I kind of wish I knew that before I paid the membership fee - but its all water under the bridge now, and I clearly needed to test this under the trial period. So I take the blame for the error.

My Question: I have a gallery with 400 plus images, with full names in the keywords. I want to protect the privacy of my clients (with a password) yet allow them to search and find specific images, and download them too.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Nothing that I'm aware of. Making something either password protected or unlisted stops all public searching. I'm sure they did this for simplicity of implementing proper privacy, but it would certainly be nice if there was a way to use keywords within a password protected world (once you've entered the password you can search). This would be an awesome use for password protected categories. Once you've entered the category password, you can search any of the galleries within the category.

But, alas Smugmug does not have this.
