Do you not still have the originals?

It will work downloading them. SM does another bit of sharpening after upload (if I recall correctly) so the downloaded shots would be different slightly from your original uploaded ones, but they should print just fine.

We don't sharpen, resize, or otherwise touch your pixels in any way on your Originals.

If you download them, they should print as pristine as they would prior to uploading.

Larges and below, of course, we've touched.

well, it's not likely. and don's got everything well sorted in the data centers.

but let's be clear to any n00bs who may be reading this: while smugmug is safe and secure, it's not a *replacement* to good storage management at home - backup, backup, backup.

i use smugmug as my secondary backup, and i'm glad it's there. like the fort knox of image storage!

Redundancy is the key to secure backup thumb.gif
So having Smugmug along with on and off site storage -

"THE ONLY WAY TO FLY" remember that saying :D

    It's the road I've taken thumb.gif

    sleep n.

    1. A natural periodic state of rest for the mind and body, in which the eyes usually close and consciousness is completely or partially lost, so that there is a decrease in bodily movement and responsiveness to external stimuli. During sleep the brain in humans and other mammals undergoes a characteristic cycle of brain-wave activity that includes intervals of dreaming.
    2. A period of this form of rest.
    3. A state of inactivity resembling or suggesting sleep; unconsciousness, dormancy, hibernation, or death.

    ...

Hmm, yeah, I guess I could give that a shot. Not so sure I'm thrilled with anything suggestiong death ... do any of the rest of you try this sleep thing? How's it work for you?
