B&H rules!

At some point while back I expressed my concern that that lag time between placing an order and the actual shipping from B&H can be substantial (up to a few days if non-priority economy shipping usage is used).
I don't know if something has actually changed or it was just a bad timing, but my most recent shopping experience with B&H proves quite the opposite.
I have recently ordered two little things from B&H. Nothing major, just some accessories, ~$25 each + ~5 s/h (cheapest shipping option, UPS ground).
If nothing else, they either were the only ones who carried the item, or they had by far the best price (like 50% lower best price :deal ).
But on top of all that, each item was shipped the same day, just a few hours after the the order palcement, and with us being on opposite coasts that means a huge time difference.
I'm officially impressed!

Actually, from where I live I often order stuff from B&H as late as 10 pm in the veneing and still get it the very next morning UPS, having paid standard ground UPS rates. My wish wouldbe that one good get the NAPP member free shipping via the online store and not only by a phone call!

I have mentioned this both at NAPP and to B&H!

That would be a good usage of NAPP. Thus far I didn't see too many benefits for being a member except PS User subscription. Well, I got some replies from Peter (Hlephdesk) but mostly because I was lazy to google for it and impatient enough to ask here and wait a couple hours for an answer:-)

NAPP members do get free shipping! Only you have to call B&H to place the order, not on-line.

Maybe for the last couple of shipments (which is a nice lump sum of under $10:-), but not for the ones I purchased early in Winter, which was like $50 or something (profoto kit)

It has been available for a while (at least last year) online. You need to go to the NAPP site>discounts>hardware>B+H and it should work fine. I have used it a few times. thumb.gif

Send me an email with your contact info and NAPP membership # and I will see what can be done.

If you start at the NAPP site and use your NAPP member login there's a link from there to our site specifically for NAPP members which applies the member discount automatically.

    The Best
I have had nothing but incredible service from B&H over the years. The one time I had an issue with some missing pieces in a kit, it was a kit put together by the lighting company distributor and they forgot the wire and B & H fixed it instantly. I go there first to buy my lenses and bodies and everything else.
