I just returned from 9 days in Maui and saw some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. Before I left I thought it would be the beaches that would WOW me, but I was wrong - it was the mountains!! Attached are a few of my favorite photos of the mountains, sunrise (from atop the volcano) and sunsets. I experimented for the first time ever with HDR on a few of these so be kind. I was using a rented 18-200mm Sigma for my Rebel. It worked great since I only had to carry one lens for the entire vacation and the OS worked wonders when I was on the helicopter taking pictures.

I really love #3 and #5 great shots! They definetely bring back some memories. My wife and I went to Maui on our honeymoon 3 years ago and had a spectacular time. I thought the sunsets were insanely beautiful but it was hard at the time for me to get pictures that showed it. You really captured that here. And I agree that the mountain areas of Maui are really stunning but again hard to image with a point and shoot and a moving helicopter. Great shots! I hope you had an amazing time! thumb.gif
