Anyone have any luck selling photo buttons to sports teams? We're shooting a state youth baseball tourney next weekend, and we've kicked around the idea of pitching photo buttons on the first day -- something the parents and grandparents can wear for the rest of the tournament with little johnny's picture and name on it ...

just curious if other folks have done anything similar and what results they had...

Thanks,

Our experience with photo buttons has been a pain in the neck. Most people get them as part of their Team and Individual photo package.

We had a very hard time finding a place to get them that left us any room for a reasonable mark up. So we first offered them as part of our top T&I package at cost because almost everyone we booked wanted them.

We later took them out of the package and offered them as an add on and the button sales took a nose dive.

From that we determined most folks will take them if they are included as a "freebie" in a package but they weren't particularly interested in them otherwise.

We have since found a vendor that gives us a price that allows for some profit on our end so we have put them back in our top package in order to make it more attractive.

Good luck with your efforts, which ever way you decide to go!

I don't know about selling them in sports but I tried with a marching band. I sold a few and lots of people commented how neat they were when they saw them, but few people ever bought any. So I quit offering them.

Would YOU order or care for a photo button or would you probably pass? I know I would.
