I kind of like the pigeon. The fact that he's wet really brings out the texture of his feathers. He looks like he's posing for you! The only part that bothers me is that the white area behind his neck really looks bright on my monitor, but nothing that the shadow/highlight tool can't fix if it looks the same on your monitor.

You might even want to consider a B&W conversion.

I like the pigeon, too. I would crop the top closer to the wing tip to create some tension. Definitely restore some of the detail on the white area behind it's neck if you can. A B&W, even toned, could be nice. The colors are pleasing, though.

Thanks guys, went back to the raw file and recovered the feathers. =c) Also recropped a bit. I don't think I'll do a B&W though, I like the colors.

The bird is nice but I really like the pine twig. The colors are awesome.

I dig the branch. It's simple, the colors are vibrant and it leads my eye from the dark blue bottom to the white fluffy clouds.

I don't think you'll go wrong with either one. I really like how the pigeon turned out and it speaks the theme well. So does your current entry.
