Hi Y'all,

I was rather happy today when i found that our local paper, Florida Today, gave our pending wildlife photography exhibit a half page story.

Putting this exhibt together has been a wonderful experience. The support I've received has been incredible. Thanks have to go out to the the talented photographers who have donated images, the Dgrin and Nikoncafe websites for allowing me to publicize the exhibit, Smugmug for the website and the printing of the images, Dixie Crossroads for the use of their gazebo for the exhibit, Southern Photo for the matting of the images for display and the Titusville Art League for the use of their display panels for the exhibit.

Yep great article and I think the best quote is what closed the article.

"All the images that were donated were phenomenal," Behret said. "I hope people will have a better understanding of the beauty we have down here and what's at stake. To lose this beauty would be tragic."

    So true...

Hey, who is the old guy in the photo? mwink.gif

Edit: I went back and "dugg" the article with Digg. It might be good for others to do the same to see if the story gets a bit more exposure.

Hey Harry, congratulations on the article. That's awesome that you're able to do what you love, and do your part to conserve the wetlands as well. You're an inspiration to all of us. bowdown.gif

Nice picture too. Although next time, try to have the Smugmug strap right-side up.rolleyes1.gif

The Crossroads is one of my favorite places to dine. Plus the owner Lauralee Thompson is one of the prime moving forces in the area on our annual birding and wildlife festival.

Kudos for all the good work you have accomplished Harry! I hope the public really sees the importance of this effort on your behalf. The wildlife viewing around Vierra and Melbourne is such a wonderful thing to see.

    I love the CrossRoads also!

Good luck with the fundraiser in 2 days... :D

After I get them uploaded to my SmugMug account, I'll have some wildlife shots to share from my trip to Costa Rica in March.

And at the end of the month my mother will, like you, be an SSA retiree... :ivar
