John, your new link for your ballet image does not seem to work for me, and I would still like a shot at editing it, and continuing this thread if you are still interested.

I have been thinking about the purple fringing. I can help it a lot with a lab curve with just turns it neutral. Not so great, but better than nothing. I wonder if this is a 1dmkiii problem?

I'm surprosed you can't access the link. It works for me. Did you try this:

    http://colortheory.us/1q0o3402.cr2

I will also try to enclose in an email to you.
    If not now, when?

When I click on the link I get a browser window full of text gibberish. If I right click on your link and begin donwloading, I get a file with a .txt file name - not a .cr2.

I had no problem with the earlier link of two dancers.

Katrin Eisman describes a technique for fringing in Photoshop on page 124 of "The Creative Digital Darkroom" using a new layer in a color blend mode with a clone tool set to "Current and Below". The clone tool is then used to paint over the offending fringing.

I'll have to give this a try.
