bees with mites?

I have never seen this before and wondered if you guy see this often. This is a small bee of some kind (wasp maybe) about 1/4 the size of a full grown wasp. At first I thought it was covered with eggs but once I got the shots in Photoshop I saw that they were mites... I think.

Not the best shots in the world but I thought it was interesting.

Lovely captures Mark- it's a solitary digger/potter wasp. Quite a mite infestation it has.
