I shot a rodeo on the 4th for the paper. I got in the chutes for part of the bull riding contest and shot with the fish eye. What a blast.

7. The westeraires put on a show. They did some formation riding that had them passing each other at very high speeds, so I brought down the shutter speed and did some panning.

Great series of shots! The fish eye really worked well. I like the panning and the isolation you achieved in the last shot as well. thumb.gif

That fisheye lens is probably the least used lens in my kit, but when it gets use, it always produces great results.

I agree I have a 10-22 (so near fish eye) that I could shoot a whole game with and maybe yield a handful of good shots. but the ones I get are so worth it. Now that I have two bodies, I can still get the shots I need with a more typical sports lens but the have the wide angle lens to try to capture your less than typical shots.

I love the first one, I think with the wide angle it helps the view be drawn into the chaos of the whole thing. Also I want to mention you did a real nice job on the last shot as well (the pan), takes alot of practice to do those right.
