Had a co-workers grandaughter over for a little studio practice this morning. Here are ones that did not need much other than some cropping and trying to eliminate the border of the sheet of plexiglass. :deal
All shot single strobe (umbrella bounce) with the FL50 bounced off the opposite wall.
Many of these are candid. I blasted the stereo and let her just dance and do what ever she wanted and then tried to catch the good stuff. :wink

Yeah I guess she watches dancing and modeling shows. She was twirling and twirling but she kept popping her head just like they tell dancers too.
It took a good 20 minutes to warm up but it was worth it.
Thanks for the comments.

Thanks Josh-
The plexiglass has been used by many on here. I just keep things filed away pretty good.
If you get a sheet get a really big one!! This one is 36x48 and was too small on many occasions to get full reflection.
White is just a normal white paper background.

now that I take a second look, i see the edge. Is it expensive?

Depends on where you go. I was not wanting to travel into Phoenix this weekend so I picked up a piece at the local Ace Hardware. I believe the 36x48 was around $30. I imagine it can be found significantly cheaper at a larger home depot or lowes or even at an art supply store.

The pick of her feet is great, right light, right skintone, perfect white. Good job getting everything just perfect! #5 until the end has great skin tone and a nie mis of light and shadow, good reflection. I like them with the exception of the shirt.
1-4 looks like her face took too much light because it looks a bit washed out. They are really fun poses and bright colours. #3 is pretty funky but it looks like a little kid having a ball so I'm loving it. She's a cute little cowgirl too.
Nice shots!

You pulled out highkey nicely, that's the craft I'm still struggling with.
#10 is priceless!!!
This was a practice session for me as I haven't worked with lights much- thinking that is going to change though- so I didn't have any thoughts on props. Her mom came up with the tied back shirt so I blame the client .
It took her quite a while to warm up to me and getting her to pose for more than a second was extremely difficult. Even the shots that look posed are more of just good timing as she was all over the place and moving so much she moved the paper and the plexiglass on top of it. I had to stop several times and adjust the paper back to straight. That is part of the reason why some are more washed out than others - distance from the strobe changed alot

Thanks Nikolai-
That is all I have at the moment so I better pull it off
Material is on the list of items to get as is a safe power supply or power converter to take these outdoors. A model at my ruins sounds so very appealing.

OneeyedJack- thank you for the comments. I am quite happy and look forward to shooting some more similar to this. Who knew shooting indoors could be so fun?
