I want to carry my 40d with attached 24-70mm L and hood. I also would like room for my 580ex II and my 85mm and battery charger. I do not plan on purchasing anymore lens I just sold 3 so this is about all I will ever carry.
I wonder if the Sling shot 200 or a Jill-E bag would work for me?
Any suggestions?

Lydia,
First off I'd suggest doing a search on this topic. Just a few topics from yours on this board is another discussion about camera bags. I think if this is truely going to be "all" your "ever" (I tell my wife that ALL the time ) your going to have as your camera "kit." THen yes the sling shot would be a good choice. I'd also like to point out another choice for you. I really think the Think Tank Photo product line is awesome. Specifically for "your" needs I'd look at the Urban Disguise. It comes is various sizes. Can be a shoulder bag and a back pack style. Just my $0.02 worth! I also have the urban disguise 60. It is wonderful. Its their largest bag and can hold 2 dSLR's without lens and several lenses and accessories. It also has a rain cover. Check it out.....Good luck in your search.....

Chris- do you think it would have room for the lens hood attached- 9inches long total.
Thanks Lydia
It should have.....that is an awesome bag......of course I have a thing for LowePro.....currently I own 5 of them......before you get the SS....would you be interested in a belt style bag with the AW cover.....it is called the ORION AW and is now incorporated in the Orion BackPack.....but mine is just he belt pack and I have out grown it (camera wise that is).....I did have an upholstery shop add length to the belt as I need it to go around me wearing a snowmobile suit and large coat in the wintertime (belt is now close to 60inches I think :-} )......but it would hold you camer/w lens and shade on and you can slide to you backside or to the front when you need to get into it.
Haha, you might look around a bit before you post a question from now on. Literally 5 posts below this post, is a 5-page topic on camera bags.
