1st dragonfly of the summer

I caught this critter in the front yard this morning. I've never shot one of these darker colored ones; I usually capture the blue bodies. I liked the dark brown against the blue rock. This isn't as macro as some shots around here, but I did use my macro lens!

Here in Southern Ontario, we've seen dragonflies pretty regularly for the last six weeks or so. Here's one I got just after setting up the support line for my volleyball net.
Not a macro lens either, but as close as I could get to it...to my untrained eye mine looks like a Thornbush Dasher.
