Another Gallery Themes Help!

I have been reading the threads since I have been having similar problems getting all my galleries to the gold theme.

The only time I have been able to is when I have appearance set to SmugMug and communities set to SmugMug.

But the first time I go back into customization and change the communty to one I have joined the gallery theme reverts back to gradient grey.

I have had no sucess changing all to default then applying the theme browser.

The other issue I have with choosing SmugMug I also loose my custom header.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So I have been reading some more threads. Apparently if I choose to join a community, my gallery will take on that communities theme?

Yes, that's true. More details on this page - http://www.smugmug.com/help/communities.

And in your gallery settings, if you want your customizations to show for that gallery, appearance must be set to custom.

Thanks Denise. I see I did answer my own question. But thanks for also replying.
Sort of a trade off to having exposure within the communities? I will have to decide.
