There's a great stretch of the Lincoln Highway in the Bedford / Schellsburg Pennsylvania area, full of cool photo ops. These pics are all within about a 10 mile stretch. Here are a few of them...

Dunkle's Gulf in Bedford, Pennsylvania is an Art Deco station built in 1933. It is adorned with polychrome tile that typified Gulf stations at the time. The patterns and angularity used are typical of what's referred to as the Zig Zag Moderne style. This station is still run by the original owner's son. This was Gulf's showcase station between Pittsburgh and Philadelphia along the Lincoln Highway.

This 18-ft. tall Pied Piper statue stands on the edge the Lincoln Highway outside Schellsburg, Pennsylvania marking the entrance to Storyland (a privately-run fairy tale park that closed in the 1980's).
