Any more conventional wisdom on the elusive D90 / D80x?

Aside from "it's all speculation" I've heard that there may be a release in August / September.

I'm more curious about expected features, including size/weight and traits of higher end Nikons which are expected to appear in this camera.

I understand this will be speculation, just would like the best guesses of those here.

That's a tough call right now. The D80 is the oldest DSLR in Nikon's line-up. I was hearing that they would announce a D90 at Photokina 2008 but now there's talk that may delay it until PMA 2009. I think a late 2008 release is more likely but with Nikon you never know.

I would expect the D90 to come in at 12MP with live view and the self-cleaning sensor. I would also expect improved AF and high ISO performance.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
