I was just reading this article. I know many SM users have some fantastic galleries...any chance the powers-that-be here can contact Getty & try to work out something similar?

    Smugmug supposedly has something along those lines in the works...

    But does this mean all they're doing is actively recruiting contributers...that haven't already signed up on Getty's site to upload files? Sounds like that's what it is to me. I assume the images they find on Flickr's site would end up in a regular Getty account just like if you have opened an account yourself to upload? If that's the case, again to me it just seems like they're trying to recruit people that don't already know about stock photo sites and try to get them to submit images.

    Be careful what you wish for, Getty may not be the kind of attention you want.
    They have been pretty toxic to photographers and the industry.
