My Second Cover!!!!

Six months after my first cover, I got my second!!! While the circulation isn't as great, this is the trade organ of my primary market, the American Society of Interior Designers, Metro DC Chapter, and every single recipient is a potential client. I think that's what they call "target marketing." They kinda butchered the photo in order to squash it into their format, but what the hey!

Here's the original.

This assignment was the last one I ever used my old D70 to shoot. It was backup to my D200 at the time, and when I shot the first few frames with the D200, I could see sensor dust on the laptop image, so quickly switched to the D70. Now the D200 is backup to the D300. This job helped pay for the D300 :D . E-bay for the D70 paid the rest. :barb

Thanks for looking!

CONGRATS Icebear! Very well deserved. I am in absolute awe of your interiors work. Good on you for working that specialization. I hope this is a big turning point for you with the very targeted market circulation! clap.gif

OMG that is so cool! It's lovely...definitely the kind of hand out art we would be looking for in our Home and Interior Design section at the Denver Post.

    Nicely done! clap.gif

    Great image! Congratulations!!

One small, teeny weeny nit. The image is slightly tilted, and
it seems like it wasn't corrected for the cover. :D

Dang, what caused this thread to pop up after two years?? Oh well.
Sam, not only did they not rectify the lens distortion (can't believe I sent it to them like that) they squashed the image horizontally to fit the cover and queered the color. Sheesh. Photo editors.

Interestingly, just this month Designline went totally digital. No more paper magazine. All ASID members of the DC chapter will now get an e-mail instead of a paper copy.
