I can understand that seeing an image as wide as this one makes you want to use the cropping tool.
However, the way you cropped my image makes it kinda out of ballance, and also there is the pedestrian at the righthandside who kinda limmits the cyclists space.
I made two other pictures of this biker, using a different crop.
Maybe you like those better.
As far as the unsharpness is concerned;
A) the light inside the station was rather difficult.
I couldn't use the flash because I would have to wait to long for it to
reload.
C) I had to use wide open apperture and long shutterspeed.
D) The biker wasn't 100% still of course, being on two wheels only.
Considering all this, I think the pics came out allright.
( I used a Sony 828 here :photo )
Thank you for your reaction !

As for the sharpening, though, that is a post processing technique you can apply to make your image look sharper. This image is pretty sharp already but even perfectly in focus shots can be made to look sharper. My cropped edit was also sharpened. Look closely at the clock on the sign or the bicycle wheels and you'll see what I mean.
There is some stuff going on about cropping in the current DD Assignment . See also the associated tutorials, Part 1 and Part 2
wasted a better part of my undergrad years doing this kind of thing around the concrete jungle that is the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.

I am amazed when I see kids doing this. Mostly because I could never do
more than the basic stair jumps.
The gearing on this bike makes it look perfect for the task at hand. Less so
for getting from one place to another
Nice shots!

I like the 1st shot uncropped. The old folks looking so bored adds a lot to the image, IMHO Kinda of like: yawn, we see this everyday, show us something new.....lol
I like Rutt's sharpening though. It really makes the rider stand out
Thanks for sharing,
