I tried to do the gaussian blur and erase it on the eyes... maybe that is why it is soft

Thanks... I love my daughter's eyes in person, so I try to do a lot of shots with her big blue eyes...:D

Yeah, that would explain it. Maybe back off the blur a bit? It's a lovely shot, so I think this is just a matter of taste...you're the customer on this one.
