Hi Kids.

Adam and the GF invited me and the Boss to go with them to Door County over the 4th.
Most of my fireworks shots didn't turn out all that great, but I got a few others that I think worked.

I processed these a little differently than what I normally do.
I added some saturation to most of the shots.

I, for the most part, feel that when I go on a group outing that my shots are maybe
a little bland. I don't think that will happen this time around.

For the shots with a really deep blue sky, I was using a Cokin P series 4 stop Gradient ND filter.

Great set. Lovely early morning shots!

Can you explain a couple things to me. First, this:

Do you mean that your shots are better if you're shooting alone?

and second, where are the promised 'doors'?

A very nice set. I like the morning shots the best. It looks like Door county has much natural beauty.

Wow Dave what a great set. I love that winding road - just makes me dizzy looking at it.

Fantastic evening shots as well. Looks like it was a great day from start to finish.

Nice set of pictures, Dave. Door County is a magical place in the summer. Did you get over to Washington Island?

Thanks everyone.

No trip to the island this time around. But who knows, maybe at a later date.

For the windy road, and really all the shots, I give credit to Adam.
He dragged me all over the place to get some of the signature shots of the area.

The funny part of this is everyone loves the windy road shot.
Adam stopped the truck, we got out, snapped a few shots, got back in
and away we went. I'll bet we weren't out of the truck for a minute.

You just never know what shot is going to appeal to people.
