Pretty scary stuff is happening lately. In the UK a
law was passed that enables officials to take all
documents that you carry from you (including
memory cards) for investigation if you behave suspicous?

This just one example. I think anyone should try to understand what is going on really:

The usual mixture of ignorance and paranoia are seriously starting to affect photographers in the UK.

Mind you it doesn't help when the police issue advertisements such as this:-

One wonders where it will end. Another victory for those that seek to change our way of life.

It's so absourd it's almost funny.

Here is a guide to photographers right in the UK: http://www.sirimo.co.uk/ukpr.php

Altough I doubt that it will be helpful because with the ongoing confusion: http://blog.wired.com/gadgets/2008/04/video-clueless.html (Video)

The problem is, if that security guard attempted to stop me I would become so insensed I would probably lump him one.

I really hope if this ever happens to me I can keep my cool.

If any law enforcement agency had any inkling of what to look for I do not think it would be P/S (glad they at least did not represent the terrorists using DSLR's) as I have told coppers here in the US....If I was a terrorist do you truly thnk I would be using this type of camera or a camera phone that I can instantly send that photo to my comrades across the sea.....get freaking real it would be a gps enabled cell phone...get photos and location in one simple fell swope:D.......................but maybe I am being too logical for a terrorist:D:Dne_nau.gifdunno

Well, Most Terrorists have two legs, they use them to walk around and look at places to bomb... If you see someone who is suspicious and fits this discription, call the police.. Let experienced law officials decide how to handle this.

    And this one...

Most Terrorists have two eyes, they use them to look at places to bomb... ant to take note of them, If you see someone who is suspicious and fits this discription, call the police.. Let experienced law officials decide how to handle this.

    then theres...
Some terrorists drive cars, they can use them to drive to places to bomb... If you see someone who fits this discription, and they are acting suspicious... driving too fast, or too slow, call the police.. Let experienced law officials decide how to handle this.
