Automated Emails on Upload

I've done some searching here on dgrin and google trying to see if there might be a 3rd party way of sending automatic emails to a select group of people you have configured upon uploading pictures.

Anyone know of something like this?

My current method is to use the recent photo RSS feed in conjunction with rssfwd.com to send emails. However, the results are less than visually pleasing and not configurable to the degree I'd like.
