I'm trying to be creative with what i have for now, so please tell me how do these look? Used window light (from the left) and 1 flash shot through white umbrella.

I gotta say I am not in love with any of the color shots. I think the clothing is a poor choice for the backdrop...

Of the monotones, #4 has a hard shadow to her right that seems rather harsh. The other three monotones I like....a lot!!!:D

I'm the last person who needs to give out studio light advice...so I won't, but I guess it doesn't hurt to say what I find pleasant....or not?

    Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Jeff, appreciate the input, it's good to hear different prespectives. I see what you see on #4 and some others with hard shadows. Got to fix that next time.
As far as backdrop, whatever was handy at that time, i thought it didn't look to bad Laughing.gif.

I like #6. The tones are nice.

Like jeff, I just don't like the color combination of her clothes and the background.

Not sure how to combine a flash and window light. You might be better picking just one and using a reflector opposite for fill.

Thanks Mitch for your input. My room is pretty dark, it was raining and nasty outside, so window light wasn't sufficient enough and i had to use extra light source.

Rainy and dark? That's what we've had here in Clearwater this past week as well.

What is your one light? I've had some good luck firing one SB800 into an umbrella with just a reflector for fill.

My SB800 broke, it's on a way to Nikon for repairs, right now i have just SB600 with white umbrella, i have no clue how to use reflector, right now it sits on the chair in oposite direction of the light. I don't know if it's really doing anything headscratch.gif
