It looks like someone lives in the sky and he isn't very happy.
Seriously, that sun is crazy. I like the pink wash. I feel warmed by the sun just looking at it.

This is beautiful, Mike. I like the subtle details in the shadows and am grateful you decided to come back to this. Similarly, the details in the clouds right near the sun are equally enticing.

Since I wasn't driving and it was 3 years ago, I can't remember were exactly it was, but yes it's called 'Sunset Rock'. It wasn't too far from the road as I walked there using my walker, tripod and camera.
