Very slow for me too. Also, several times have clicked on one of the photo tools to use it, such as delete, and nothing happens.

Yes, I am getting very poor response times on my site http://www.langfordphotography.com. I'm trying to narrow down if it is something on my side.

Hi folks, can I get you to run a traceroute for us? That will help us see where the problem might be.

Go here while logged into your site http://www.smugmug.com/homepage/traceroute.mg

Send us the results on the help desk so that we can take a look. Be sure to reference this thread so we know why you are sending the test results.

The sorcerers are looking at the site to make sure nothing is going on with our end.

    Doc,

I can connect right up to my website's homepage, but when I attempt to go to one of my galleries it just sits there for a long period of time before it finally connects.

    Phil

I ran the trace route. Do I need to send you the results?

It's on the way. The way the results email was worded I thought the help desk automatically received a copy. Sorry...

We do, but they are tied to your account. We would have to go into each account and some dgrin users do not reference their sites.

    Thanks for sending it. thumb.gif

Tracert email sent. My results from a command prompt driven tracert were much different than the ones from the web site.

nod.gif That is because it is from your computer to our servers. Different routes are used so the results will be different. The website test is from our servers to you.

    Thanks for the traceroute.

No problem. For the record, my official URL is www.sunglo.smugmug.com. Since I'm one of the ones that didn't mention it. OOPS!

I don't know if this will help, but I started to upload five images and that seems to be running normally.

    Done. Results on their way.

Just for the heck of it, I timed how long it took to delete a photo from my gallery... almost 2 minutes!

    Unresponsive and Cropping Problem
Unfortunately I have to agree, the site is being very unresponsive since yesterday :cry. Any ideas on what is causing the issues? Also, wanted to mention that the response time is causing photos to not load in the new cropping tool....makes ordering really tuff. See attached screen capture from IE 6.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Same for me. I uploaded some new images yesterday and when I went to see how they looked later in the day they took forever to show up. I thought it might just be because they were new but on checking my other galleries yesterday and today and looking at some of the other sites mentioned in this thread I've come to the conclusion that everything is slooow, no matter what you look at.

    Tracert email sent

    ===========================================

Just figured out that if I am logged in as my pro account I have no trouble with the image loading into the new cropping tool. However, my customers are not able to see the photo in the new cropping tool (i.e. they are not logged into the system) It seems this is not necessarily related to the speed issue we are all seeing.

I have been getting a significant number of client complaints. Any help with the issue would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks,
    Paul

Sorry for taking so long, couldn't seem to remember how to grab the image namerolleyes1.gif. It appears my site hacking disabled the share photo button, go figure. Anyhow, here's the link to one of the photos: http://gallery.centrevilledance.com/photos/329454612_SpeCb-L.jpg

Let me know if there is anything I else I can help with or info I can provide.

That's funny I didn't realize you worked out of the NOVA area. Love the work you guys have done on the new interface. Being a software developer I can really appreciate the streamlined appearance and all the complexity it hides? Keep up the good work....

Ooops forgot to give you my smug url, here it is: cda.smugmug.com thanks

We see everything! The help desk and developers are aware of this thread and are keeping an eye on things. Does anyone have any specific pages that are loading slowly or more details than "SmugMug is slow".

After browsing popular photos, several sites, and even Help and Dgrin, everything seems sluggish on my end. Both IE and Firefox.
