I have a customer that has tried to email me from the link on my homepage. She says that into the process it gives her a error message "invalid http address". Did I do something wrong when I linked the address?
Thanks

Hi :)

Looks like you have listed an invalid email address for your link:

chrystal@chrystalsphotos@aol.com

Will want to change that to your correct email address, and then it should be fine.

Chrystal, the link in your signature here at Dgrin is incorrect. I can't tell if you're trying to put in an email address or a website. Looks like a mixture of both. Either way, the link doesn't work.

What I am trying to do is link the "email me" to my email address which is chrystalsphotos@aol.com. Can you help me? I don't have a .com address for my photography yet. I am going one step at a time.
Thanks

the link should look like this:

<a href="mailto:chrystalphotos@aol.com">chrystalphotos@aol.com</a>

Which turns into:
chrystalphotos@aol.com

Or you can make it say "Email Me" by using this:

<a href="mailto:chrystalphotos@aol.com">Email Me</a>

Which turns into
Email Me

Don't put your email address in clear text on your site - it can easily be picked up by spambots that are roaming the web looking for email addresses to spam.
I highly recommend that you use the method that Ivar posted in this Stop Junkmail/Spam!!! thread - http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=81235.

As far as the link in your signature here on dgrin goes, you somehow have combined a web site address and an email address. Your signature doesn't provide either. I'd recommend that you add your smugmug address to your signature. That appears to be http://chrystalsphotos.smugmug.com/. That way people who are trying to help you won't need to guess at your address.
