When the temp dropped from 109 all the way down to 102 it was nice enough to wander around the hot springs and see if anything was alive, and why.

I suppose. The tree was growing on top of a series of seeps a couple hundered yards down from a hot spring. My friend has a cabin there. We were going to spend the night, but it didn't drop below 90 by 11pm so we were out of there. Only one fan in the whole place. We figured the crime scene would be horrific come morning because we all insisted having the fan on us.
