Moving Pictures Questions

Okay I am not sure what is causing this. I have been told in the past not to have large galleries and move to other galleries from that one gallery. However I remember in that past few months there was supposed to be a fix for this issue. My galleries from Nationals 2008 have about 1300 each in them and I am moving to new galleries. When I shoot out of town I use one large gallery per day to maximize the upload speed of the hotel I am in and honestly have a backup for my pictures other than my laptop. It works great. The gallery thing is killing me.. Is there a fix or is the outage today causing me to get timeout after timeout on my move to gallery??
