How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks! In the 6 years I've lived in this house I have never seen a bobcat on a telephone pole.

Actually, my next door neighbor came over to tell me. I grabbed the camera and stuck the longest thing I have on it. She stayed up there for a good 45 minutes. Didn't see her come down though.

    Dan,

I've gone all afternoon and tried not to say it, but I can't hold it in any longer.

You have shot an excellent metaphor for a polecat.

...as stated before. Outstanding shot. thumb.gif

    Wow! that is awesome!

I love the big cat family! Although I heard a story about a hunter in Colorado who was asked what the one thing he would be afraid to meet in the woods. He said a cougar. When asked why, he said because my 10 pound house cat can shred me if he wants to. I would hate to meet something twenty times it's size!

    Again, love the shot!

That is just gorgeous, Dan. clap.gif

What incredible luck. You should have called the fire department and told them your kitty was stuck on the pole, and then seen their reaction. deal.gifrolleyes1.gif

And to think some folks get upset if a raptor hangs out in their neighborhood. rolleyes1.gif

Hmmmmm ....... Does anyone else find this image similar to Harry's "Bird on a Stick"?

Great shot with good color and clarity.

I went looking for info relating to a lynx/bobcat question and found the following link. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobcat Scroll down to the section on "Distribution and habitat" and notice the photo that accompanies the text. Funny shot. Especially considering the heading.
