Dss 19 - a little poetry :D

It's got a lot of natural elements:
The Light: Sunlight
Platform: Oak Bench
Vase: Glass
Subject: A Rose
It was my Valentine's gift from my hubby and they just keep on kicking and the sun was peeking through the clouds to day and I felt that old familiar tug. Naturally, hehe

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! Let's rock!
I titled it after one of my fav poems: "Flowers" by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.
Exerpt:
"...Gorgeous flowerets in the sunlight shining,
Blossoms flaunting in the eye of day,
Tremulous leaves, with soft and silver lining,
Buds that open only to decay..."
The poem is about life and death and the cycle of nature... at least to me. We give the freshly cut flowers as gifts and slowly watch them die. In their dying, I see such beauty. They are such troopers though, the whole dozen is still bright red, opening, and the baby's breath is still white and fragrant. I think he chose a good cluster!
