Hi inifoto and welcome to Dgrin!

since my opinion is appreciated (we'll see about that mwink.gif ) here we go:

I think you got the hang of the structures and the editing, but....

the subject and the editing dont go well together in my opinion. I see a nice classy lady with a grungy editing and somehow they dont mix very well, leaving me less enthousiastic. I like your style but i just dont think your subject (or how she looks at this moment) is suited for it.

Hope it helps. somebody more educated (and with properly mastered english) will probably pop by shortly and give you some better feedback rolleyes1.gif

Love number 5! I think you definitely have the technique down and it looks superb to me. Got any links on how to do this ourselves? Thanks.

5&6 are awesome! Like the previous poster, I'd love to know how you achieved that retro effect - absolutely love it. thumb.gif

Thanks to all for comments & critique!

I'm sorry my English is a bit poor.. :)

@ Chrissiebeez_NL: I just experimented with same photos in different ways, so here is only this 'grunge' series, and maybe some shots are watchable more better in black & white, some in all colors or some of them- grungy like these.

@ mercphoto & divamum: it's a postproduction work. Of course, the main shot is essential. Then I played with several layers (grunge backgrounds and different color and b/w copies of the main photo), colors, adjustments and opacity.

    @ photobanks, thank you.

I love them all and is difficult for me to mark one from others. But maybe #2 is a bit different. I call it "Summer". Can you feel that?.. :)

I use to see alot of this type in the Old Playboys. I think the look is very nice. You might start one heck of a resurgence. Good photography!!

Hi iniFOTO wave.gif Welcome to DGrin!

I think all these are all wonderful portraits that you've posted, but I'd rather see these without the grunge look, as I don't think it adds anything to the already great portraiture you've been able to accomplish.

I love #4. However, the processing style (color/texture) leaves me wishing she had a different style of hosiery on....it gives her skin a weird "wrinkled look"....would have been awesome had they been black....either way, love this image! thumb.gif

#4 and #5 are my faves, but I agree that with this processing, you need to find a grunge-ier?? looking model

    # 2 looks like photos in the "teeny bopper' magazines from the 60's. you would see photos like this of the girls chasing the Beatles, #2 also reminds me of one of the first wives of one of them. Very authentic looking, even aged a bit like a relic.
I have one of those magazines from my teens and it is a hoot to read. Paul was buying a MANSION for a whopping 50 K ! wings.gif ( I am 56 now)
