It looks better with the white van PS'ed out and cropped a bit. But for some reason I didn't upload that version to Smugmug. headscratch.gif

    EDIT: Uploaded the nicer version.

    My Car Pics
Well, here's what I am down to now...

    3602608-M.jpg
'99.5 VW Jetta TDI diesel in front of my '03 Dodge 2500 diesel

I used to have one of these, before someone hit it....

    13841869-M.jpg

It was an '87 MB 300SDL, diesel..

I also have 2 '81 VW diesel rabbits that I hope to build into 1 running rabbit, but no pictures of them at the moment..

One of my favorite rides... even though its not a car... ne_nau.gif is this

Burley recumbent bike. Sorry for the sad shape of the rider (me), but this was after 480 miles on the thing, in 7 days, camping out the whole time.. headscratch.gif

    6826096-M.jpg

My Avatar is a pic of my 'new' bike, which I was hopeing to ride this year, but due to a broken leg earned in my newest car ('04 aveo) about 6 weeks ago, I doubt it will see more than a 3-400 miles this fall... :cry

A friend of mine gave me a suggestion. He said to mount a tripod in the car with a window open, so the camera can hang out of the car, then put the car in neutral, with the engine off of course, and push the car with a slow shutterspeed. It gives the appearance of a moving vehicle, and since the car is being slowly pushed without an engine running, camera shake as at a minimum, so the car isn't blurred. I'm going to try it.

    Woo!
Cool that this topic came up because just a few weeks ago, my boss FINALLY bought me the new work truck I've been begging for for the past three years. OK, really it belongs to the whole organization. But I think of him as mine. :D

For a little perspective on just how huge this thing is, here's a shot with a standard Ford F-150.

That tank in the back is 180 gallons, and it doesn't even take up half of the space. iloveyou.giflustiloveyou.gif I love my new toy.

My own car is about as boring as it gets -- a 1997 beige Toyota Camry. But here are a couple of crummy shots of it being covered with ash on the first day of the San Diego wildfires in October 2003.

I'm not a big car fan, but...
I like to have something decent and dependable. This is my third Saturn and they have all served me very well. The first one (the 1992 SL1), I put 286,000 kms on!

I took this shot of my newest wheels to send my kids. It's a 2005 Saturn L300 V6.
