Nice catch. A macro lens is one of the next item on my list to get. How far away were you from the spider?

    Both are excellent.
Great details! Do you use an external light source?

That is one very nice macro lens. Great shots and I've never seen this type of spider here, especially those wonderful colours and markings. You see that last shot, thats what we all strive for in nature macro. Great behaviour shots are far and few between. Excellent !!!

150mm, nice balance between the 100/105 and the 180/200mm macro lenses. Just right for distance. Looks like one very sharp beast thumb.gif

J: You are gonna have some FUN this summer! That lens is marvelous.

H: Very fine images. I like the different lighting angles. Just tipping the camera can yield a very different look (flash).

I kinda want to get a few weeks under my belt befor I make a full blown report here. Now remember Iv only had the lens few a week now but

    * To start the lens is very well constructed.
Very solid. Flat black finish so no shiny surface (this is a good thing)
This thing feels as solidly bilt as my canon L lens.
*Plus it comes with a colar I think the one from canon is like $100 bucks headscratch.gif for a colar (whatever canon)rolleyes1.gifrofl
comes with lens hood that works well screw on type
and comes with a really really nice case 1000 times better than my canon L case.
*OK now the AF th AF is good not great, I think it is very good for a (macro) lens.
But no where as fast a my canon f4 L. Not that anyone would expect it to be as it is a macro lens. When your in low light it will hunt on ya thats for sure. That being said we all know most shoot maco using manual focus probly 80% of the time anyway. But I have found you can use AF with this lens for macro. (unlike most other lenses)
From what I hear the AF is the best (macro ) AF out there. But I must admit i cant confurm this beacuse I don't own any other macro lenses.
In good light this thing is pretty fast I must say and does have HSM. Not quite as fast as my f4 but darn good I would say. So if your going to take some people shots it would do great I think. "In good light"
*Now for sharpness judging from the photos I think this is a very sharp lens. As Iv heard with all the reports on this lens. Now I havent set up and done a controled test as of yet but I will iV been very busy with work and have not had the time.
but this thing seems very sharp.thumb.gif
All in all I'm very happy with this lens. I will some time in the near feature get you guys a controled test and and a full review.
But for now the Sigma 150 2.8 macro
is a great lens. If you have the cash order this thing ASAP
    I got mine form Delta International for$ 525. thumb.gif
