    hey antonio!

    nice serie! really like number two, you see it a lot in marrakech but its so funny to see! its a whole different world when you cross the strait into marocco! did you have fun?

    I enjoyed the series. Gives me a feel for the place. I enjoyed the third picture of the "vehicle" parking area. Thanks for sharing.

    How did I prevent from blowing out the shies?

    Once I traveled to Cambodia and I was shooting jpg. I was then at the pre-historic period. Shame on me.rolleyes1.gif :cry
    Now I want to go and work on those photos and I can get little from them. But what does this has to do with blown skies ?

    In Cambodia the sky was really bright and sometimes overcasted and I blew many skies:cry
    I was the first time I was facing this problem.
    Now I shoot - in fact it depends oh the scene - with the aperture and speed measured with some balance between sky and "ground".
    Then I chimp and have a look at the histogram and burned areas.
    If they are a little bit burned, flashing in small areas, I don't care and go on with something else.
    On the contrary, if the shy is really flashing I reshoot adjusting the measurement balancing more sky in the viewfinder. Chimp again until it is OK.

    I had the same problem somewhere else but with doing this over and over I can see and understand - more or less - where I have to measure the light to get a good sky.

    I use LR which is quite interesting and where I have invested in terms of knowledge.:D

    But for example in post 16 I have - as long as I can remember - measured half sky half land and then I composed.
    However I had to be careful about the DOF but it was not difficult as I was working - as most of the times - with Aperture priority and making use of the * to keep the measurement on the camera while I re compose. OK ? :D
