    Push the levels up on the main image w/ a mask on the sky, and increase the contrast a bit. Something like this:

    laker.jpg

    As it is, the ship is really impressive, but kinda blends off into the greyish sky.

    I like the original...This treatment turns it into...a treatment, not a photograph. rolleyes1.gif Seriously, the fact that the ship and sky are on the verge of becoming one is one of the attractions in the original. Then we have the colorful lines, etc....it's just a nice scene....

    I tried to get a little more contrast and make it pop a little more without it being a treatment:

    You know, Rutt -and this applies to Andrew - I am in awe of what you guys can do with PS that I can't even dream of. But damn it, I like the original image. The 'neon' docking lines give it a color pop, and the rest of it looks to me the way it should look.

    But this is definitely a matter of taste - especially as we are discussing a 'scenic' here and not a documentary or PJ shot....

    FWIW, had I noticed this was in the PJ I wouldn't have made the suggestion since PJ implies no/minimal manipulation. When I saw it, I was thinking the was in OCS (which doesn't negate BD's point). BD, I'm a PS lightweight.

    Thanks, that is what i was going for. I'm not into over photoshoping that much.
