Dgrin Sharp Shooters Challenge #38

Welcome to Round #38 of the Dgrin Sharp Shooters Challenges. This challenge is open to any Dgrin member. It will run from Monday, November 16, 08:00am, EST time (GMT -5) to Monday, November 30, 08:00am, EST time (GMT -5).

The topic ready for your interpretation: Oops!

There's magic in mistakes. Something special in the spontaneous. Whether faulty settings, a subject's spill, or the last photo a camera ever took, feature your finest slip-ups and happy accidents.

Your Judges:
Angela Davis (Winner of Round 35)
Llywellyn (Guest Judge)

IMPORTANT NOTE: Your entry is to be submitted directly into a Smugmug gallery. It's pretty simple, just go to the gallery link below, and follow the upload instructions at the top of the page: Remember, the basics stay the same: 1 entry per person, and the photo must be fresh, taken during this contest period. Do not use a minimal save method (such as "save for web"), and your exif will be embedded in your image, no worries!

To avoid disqualification, read, in full, the Dgrin Sharp Shooters Challenge Rules, there have been some slight modifications.

I haven't photoshopped this at all.

My hubby was giving our son a goodnight cuddle and I started laughing. I ran to get his camera phone.
Once I showed them the picture they could see what I could see. Too funny lol.

Not quite fitting the theme but I thought I would share anyway.

It's a shame camera phones are such poor quality.

Interesting! Try for something intentionally amazing, but hope to get something erroneous, yet appealing. Screw up? Cool! I can do that!!!! :ivar

So does this mean that those of us who are better at Oopsies will do better in this challenge? ne_nau.gif:D

I think I'll use my standard approach and take lots of pictures. Maybe I'll get lucky and something will fit the theme. :oogle

ok...so the first place winner of #38 will judge #40 or #41??? Just curious to whether I can enter or not. I have lots of ideas but don't want to not be able to finish IF I was able to win. If #41 is the one that would be judged from the winner this round...then I am safe and can play!deal.gif

I know what the rules say (ie... round 1 winner would judge round 3)...but when I won round #34, I had to judge #37. Somewhere we got off in count (no problem) just curious.

#41. Our DQ round #27 is what threw off the count.

That book's long been closed and doesn't need to be reopened. I just wanted to clarify why the judging cycle count shifted.

JAG, thanks for pointing out that was still in the rules. I adjusted the rules accordingly. Apologies for the confusion! thumb.gif

Didn't think I would be entering this round because I thought it would end up being an accidentally-on-purpose shot. Then I trip when shooting at a playground haha. Funny how things work out.
Can I shoot you with my Canon?
