NO LONGER AVAILABLE

I just bought this lens new and love it!! But what I miss more is the 100-400 that I sold to buy this lens. So I decided to buy another 100-400 and I can't afford to keep both. So I am selling the brand new 70-200 2.8 IS MKII. This lens is everything they say it is and maybe more, it comes with the invoice and everything else it came with. I can return this lens for a full refund but nothing wrong with it and can't see waiting forever to get the refund

My price is $2200 shipped insured ground and using PP gift option

Thank you

Keep it and get a 2x Teleconverter. Then you'll have the killer 70-200, and a great 140-400 f/5.6. The word on the street is that the 70-200/2.8 Mark II is excellent with the TC's, much better than the previous version. Could also get a 1.4x TC down the road for a great 98-280 f/4. I recently sold my 100-400L to buy the Mark II, and I would do it again. Although I haven't had to buy any TC's yet.

An "accurate" reproduction of a scene and a good photograph are often two different things.

That was a plan but the 100-400 is better than the 2XTC on the 70-200 2.8 II from the samples I have seen. To late anyhow I bought the 100-400 already and should soon be here.

But what I do know about the 70-200 II is that I think it's the best zoom Canon makes. I have never had a 70-200 2.8 that was this sharp at even 2.8. I will miss it but I miss the 100-400 more that is a lens I always had on my camera

I have been using the new 70-200 f2.8MkII along with the x2 MKII extender for a few months now and have carried out some comparison test shots at various f-stops, with and without the extender and I can say that the performance is stunning. The extender causes extremely little degradation of the image and will only bother the most anal of the pixel peepers! I can't tell you how well it stacks up against the 100-400, but it's a hell of a lot more versatile and if there is a difference... it's goin to be marginal.
