Kathy Hirtz flying a Pitt S-2B I think. Her first performance we watched as the sun was setting and a full moon rising.
These flights took place awhile back, July 27-28 07, and I am only now processing and posting them. Better late than never? :D
Canon 30D, Sigma 70-200 f2.8. Best effort handheld. I'm a rookie :wink
Have only done a few airshow efforts.
EDIT: Aircraft as noted by Brad Oliver is a 2006 Wolfpitts Special. A modified S1 built in 1972.

Like I said the moon was up and she flew close to in front of it several times. Pretty serious crop here and a little PP flex.
As close to decent result as I could muster for now. Will do.

Another PP work up. Am liking it.

The better sharp shots came during the next days flight. Go figure:scratch

    Hey Michael,

Very well done series. It's not easy when shooting aerobatics to always get a sense of movement in the shots. All too often, the planes appear as a static element. You've done a wonderful job of capturing that vitality necessary to make pictures like this stand out. thumb.gif

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

    Nice shots!

It's actually a S-1. It started life as an S-1C, but appears to have been modified to include a symmetrical wings (S-1Cs have flat bottom wings), a larger rudder, a custom cowl and more.

Thanks for this information Brad. :D Its nice to have it right and at your note I dug further than I previously put into it.
Located Wolf Aircraft and more detail concerning this aircraft at http://www.wolfpitts.com/
which speaks to the modifications you mention and other excellent works with aircraft.
I will make the correction to this posting. I could have at least looked closer at the tail lettering on her aircraft
    noting Wolfpitts Special.

Appreciate your nice shots comment. Pretty kind really, given the high end
quality of your works as displayed in Air Venture 2010 for starters. wings.gif
    Inspiring stuff :D

Thanks for your kind words Michael. I hope I didn't come across as overly pedantic... I was just offering additional information.

If you look at the "Projects" page on Steve Wolf's site, the S1-11B was built by a friend of mine and my airplane shared a hangar with the yellow and purple Wolfpitts pictured. :D

Not in the least Brad. Really thoughtful of you to even brought me up to speed.
For which I am grateful. thumb.gif
I would say that you have at least 3 (now 4) pieces of evidence guiding to where your coming from.
All of which easily reassure me of what to expect if I were to meet you.
Am sure I would get to laugh often in the course of that conversation.
